Christian Youth In Action

Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) is a missions program for Christian youth from 13 years old to college students. It is designed to equip, train, and bring students together who have a desire to reach children with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We will participate in a purposeful training camp where we will be provided with the tools needed to lead 5-Day Clubs in central Wyoming this summer.

We will learn how to teach Bible lessons, memory verses, and mission stories; lead fun songs; play exciting games; and share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ with boys and girls!

CYIA Pre-Training

If you are registered to join CYIA in Central Wyoming for the summer of 2025, you are required to attend one of the following pre-trainings:

CYIA Ministries

One ministry that CYIA teens help run is 5-Day Club. These clubs are designed for kids to come to on weekdays during the summer to play games, sing songs, memorize Bible verses, and learn about Jesus!
CYIA teens also help as summer camp counselors at Camp Good News. This is a summer camp for kids ages 7-12. Kids will stay overnight at a camp on Casper Mountain for a week while playing camp games, staying in cabins, worshiping God, and learning about Jesus!

Throughout this summer, we will gain life skills in responsibility, teamwork, and communication. We will build confidence, and your personal relationship with Christ will be stretched and matured. Plus, we will build lifelong, God-centered friendships with people all over Wyoming!  You can make a difference as a CYIA missionary!

How Often Do We Meet?

CYIA teens in central Wyoming will have the opportunity to serve throughout most of the summer. We head off to a week-long training the week after school ends, and we help with 5-Day Clubs, camps, VBS’s, and other ministries throughout most of the summer for a few hours a day, usually serving Monday through Friday. We continue with these events until about mid-August. Don’t worry if you can’t or don’t want to come every week; we all get some vacation time. However, there is mandatory attendance to training week (June 7 – June 15) and Camp Good News (August 4 – August 9). We also meet together for different fun events a few times during the winter!

How Much Does It Cost?

To participate in CYIA for one summer, there is a $430 fee for training week to cover food, transportation, five new T-shirts, and rooms to stay in. However, our CYIA team has many fundraiser opportunities so that you can easily pay your training fee. If you do not wish to participate in fundraisers, you can pay it out of pocket or ask providers to pay for it using the support letters and support cards. Any extra money paid to CEF will be used for food, activities, and other expenses during the summer.
